Lisette Forsyth – South Africa

LISETTE JUSTIN COUPLE - 3168_aVWCapetonian artist, Lisette Forsyth paints to fill the need to create. She is constantly experimenting with media and subject matter. The compulsion to recycle pushes her towards mixed media.

Born in Namibia in 1968, Lisette studied Graphic Design at the Cape Technikon, in Cape Town, South Africa, graduating 1991.
She also completed an apprenticeship in Mechanical Graphics at the Bayerische Rundfunk (German television station).

Lisette has worked as a successful artist for many years, and has her own studio in her Woodstock studio since 2007.
She says, ‘every day is an inspiration. The need to revel and reflect life’s beauty drives me to create; to share the delight in the seemingly ordinary.’

Lisette was a Finalist in The Arts Association of Bellville’s 2007 Veleka Art Competition. She has shown her works in various group and solo exhibitions in South Africa and abroad.
In 2014 she also donated works to Ukuthemba Child foundation, which were auctioned by Graham Norton, resulting in sales to Mr Norton.
